I just can’t tune my electric guitar!?
im 13 yrs old and i bought my guitar 3 days ago and it came w/ an amp and tuner, but idk how the tuner works. online i can’t find any sites or videos they’ll help me. ive been trying to tune it for 3 days now. about 7 hrs a day. my neighbors said they were gonna tune it, but they said that 2 days ago, so that ain’t gonna happen. im SO frustrated and nobody else plays electric guitar in my family and the guitar place is closed for the next 2 days and i need to play the guitar! any help?

Plug you guitar into your tuner hit a string and turn the corresponding know at the top until its the right note. Which way you turn it depends on the guitar and how you strung it, play with it and you’ll figure it out. Learning when to go higher or lower is something everyone’s got to figure out. It’s also up to you to decide what tuning to use but the standard is:
E – smallest string
B
G
D
A
E – fattest string
Also, if your tuner has IN and OUT jacks make sure your guitar is plugged into the IN. Make sure the volume is up on the guitar and look out for the sharp(#) or flat (b) indicators on your tuner.
